Education

The Glass Art Guild of Utah Education Committee provides developmental resources to both Guild members and members of the Utah artist community at large.
With a focus on cultivating the talent, skill and proficiency of local glass artists, the Committee coordinates and promotes a stream of visiting artists and local instructors. These artists present new materials, techniques and broaden the opportunities for creativity for our artists.
Because of the wide reaching talents and experience of senior Guild members, as well and the enthusiastic reception of local students, Salt Lake City has become a welcome venue for many of today’s popular and skilled glass educators. Past classes include Colour de Verre with Jayne Persico, Fritography with Michael Dupille, Paperweights with Don McKinney and Magic of Dichroic Glass with Shirley Webster.
The Guild will continue to bring innovative techniques and personalities for the benefit of all local and regional glass artists.
