My family and I love to create art in all forms. My wife has been a major inspriation for me, her free spirit, and her desire to learn and try out new art mediums. It was through her exploring glass art, that brought me to fused glass. She is a part of all my glass art, she brings out the artist in me.
There is something about fused glass art that draws me to it and brings out my creativity. I love its transparent properties, the challenge of forming it in a glass kiln, and in the case of large pieces the weight of it.
When I create many of my pieces I look for the little details in them, reaction between the colors of glass, and little hidden surprises. I create a very limited number of my art pieces, and vary them so no two are exactly alike, so I can get on to the next piece, and try out more colors and see what surprises they have in store for me.
